There are now 61 in our family. We have been blessed with 38 grandchildren (16 grandsons & 22 granddaughters) and 2 great grandchildren. We are expecting 2 more grandchildren. :) When Jennifer has her baby this month, we will have 62 in our family--Fred and I were married in 1962. We will then have 39 grandchildren–Fred was born in 1939 :) When Jessica has her baby in April, we will have 40 grandchildren and I was born in 1940. :) Actually, right now we have 40
grandchildren counting our two great grandchildren. We attended the Stewart reunion in Utah–Valerie & Grant did a great job--and the McCleve reunion in Utah–Eyres were in charge--it was fun!) In 2007 three of our family were able to come for Thanksgiving and one after Christmas.
Fred and I were called to work in the Snowflake temple 2 afternoons a week for 2 years–that is ‘joy!’ Fred keeps busy driving school bus, indexing for the church family history, working at the temple Thursday and Saturday afternoons, doing the ward finances, and keeping the home fires burning. I appreciate the support he gives and has given me when I do projects. He has enjoyed the satellite radio two of our families gave him–it is especially nice when we travel across the reservation where there is no radio reception. Fred was treasurer for his 50th class reunion--it was fun seeing his classmates again! I know most of them too. We are looking forward to my 50th class reunion.
Sheila was able to compile, print, and make copies of her Grandparents William Henry and Nancy Whipple Lewis posterity, update the family birthday and chronological lists, work in the temple (a wonderful place to be), update the ward website, walk regularly with five friends, cut
hair, attend Women’s Conference at BYU with my sisters. She enjoyed making fleece blankets for new grandbabies and playing with rockets (she made a 100 launchers) and paper airplanes with her grandchildren. At our Stewart reunion it was fun to listen to our family members each tell something they had done during the year as they put their leaf on the tree.
Valerie & Grant’s family live in Brigham City, Utah. Grant works for Autoliv. He spent the month of April in Shanghai, China & enjoyed the train ride down to and sight-seeing in Beijing. Valerie and he hosted Tony Wong from China on a snow coach through Yellowstone. Valerie enjoyed going to Girl’s camp, teaches Sunday School & she spends her spare time playing games & reading to Kara. She is busy being a wife, mother of a toddler, & a grandmother.
Adam & Shala moved to a new town home in Spanish Fork, Utah. Adam is a project manager at Arrowstar Construction. Shala is a busy mom of two and she enjoys BYU sports. Abbie is 3 yr. old, and she likes to play with Kara. Robert Grant Folkman was born March 30, 2007. It is fun
to see their family blog, as well as our other family blogs. Kyle returned from his mission to Taiwan and he is attending USU. He just started working at Icon. Shauna is in the Interior Design program at USU & she works at a hospital & an assisted living cntr. Kristen is a Senior in high school. She works at Yogurt Factory & played varsity on the tennis team. She will attend BYU-ID in Rexburg this fall. Kara goes to preschool and to a singing group. She likes to play with
Abbie and her friends.
Collins and Cameron’s family live in Kirkland, WA. They were in the Liken the Scriptures video “Samuel the Lamanite.” Seattle was without electricity for 108 hours in 2006, so that was interesting Collins works for Nordstrum. “He is a good father,” said Tristan. He is a scoutmaster.
Cameron had their first daughter, Felicity Jane Stewart, June 8, 2007. Cameron has a morning pre-school . “She is a great mother,” said Tristan. Cameron’s father, Claigh Jensen, has been promoted and transferred from Virginia to Idaho Falls. She is excited her parents will be closer.
Tristan is in the 10th grade. He works hard in school and he likes to read books. Jonah is an eleven-year-old scout. He is looking forward to his first overnighter. Gideon is learning to read and write. He enjoys holding Felicity. Isaac likes to hold and do things with Felicity too. He likes play dough and TRAINS. Felicity has mastered sitting up. She says ‘da-da’ and she likes her
‘jolly jumper.’
Keith & Lisa’s family live in Enumclaw,WA . Keith works at Boeing. They finished remodeling their bedroom. He bought a jeep that Keith and his sons are fixing up so his sons can learn to
drive. They had fun going into the woods to cut down a Christmas tree. Keith is the Varsity scout leader. Lisa says she is gorgeous, nice, & kind :) Keith said, “She is a wonderful mom and teacher. She home schools their children. She does not procrastinate. She teaches primary.
Baxter is an Eagle (Dec 1, 2007) and he has his driver’s learning permit. He is taller than Lisa and he wears the same size shoes as his Dad. Spencer likes to play soccer, play on the computer, play games and read. He loved having his Dad as his boy scout leader. Maren sings in the ward choir. She likes to play the piano. She is taking violin lessons. Corrinne is learning to read and to write. She likes to draw. She likes to play with her friends. Lauren likes to color, dance, sing, dress up, smile. She tells the members of her family that they are pretty/handsome, kind and nice.
Jerry & Bea’s family live in Lehi, Utah. Jerry is a development manager for Symantec Corporation. He survived a could-have-been fatal motorcycle accident on Oct 24 2006, and he was blessed to be able to go back to work Jan 2. He is flying to Sydney Australia Feb 17 - 25 to train others. Jerry is stake YM’s pres. Bea is Relief Society president in her ward. She is a busy mom. Mason has his driver’s license, and he has a job. He bought a new bass electric guitar and he also plays a euphonium. He is a junior in high school Victoria broke her elbow, but it is well now. She earned her Faith in God award. She likes to write in her journal and do jig saw puzzles. She is in 8th grade. Bryson is on the Student Council. Bryson did 25 circles on the pummel
horse June 2006. He likes gymnastics. He is in the 6th grade. Grayson likes to make snowflakes and airplanes with his Grandma Stewart. Grayson likes to ride his bicycle. He is in the 4th grade.
Natalie and Justin’s family live in Cheyenne WY. Justin finished their basement. He is a flight surgeon in the Air Force and he is deployed to Germany for 6 months. Once a month he flies to
Iraq, etc. His family will be glad when he’s home in March! Natalie came at Thanksgiving time–they were in Arizona for 2 weeks. It was fun to have her children stay with us while she participated in the el Tour de Tucson 109 mile bike ride with Jimmie Ray and Kevin. Maile gives daily announcements on the school tv station. She loves to read and ice skate. Kiana was baptized Aug 2007 in Utah! She likes jazz dancing and she likes to read. She wants to be an artist when she grows up. Dylan likes trucks and any kind of vehicle. He goes to pre-school three
days a week.
Jennifer and Mark’s family live in South Jordan, UT. They are expecting their 8th child and 4th son. Mark works for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Auditing department. In 2006 & 2007 he traveled to Virginia, Germany, Hawaii, and England. In 2008 Mark will go
to Germany in June and to Australia in Sept. Mark was ward clerk but now he is the Varsity Scout coach. They finished their basement, so now they have 2 more bathrooms, 3 more bedrooms, another laundry room, and one more family area with carpet and furniture.
Jennifer stays busy taking children to the dentist, orthodontist, doctor, and chiropractor and trying to make dinner before 7:00 p.m. She enjoys watching ball games and making sure the children get to scouts, activity days etc. She has enjoyed teaching David’s primary class.
Kaylee likes to decorate cakes, make desserts, and decorate their house for holidays. She likes to take pictures of sunsets with her cell phone. She earned her Faith in God award. Lori is enjoying YW and being on the Student Council. She keeps busy babysitting, organizing, and just having fun with friends. David is in Webelos. He earned his Bear badge, many belt loops and arrow
points. He is a ‘pro’ builder with Legos. Rachel was baptized Dec 2007 and we were able to attend! She enjoys taking piano lessons. Michael loves kindergarten. He enjoyed soccer and t-ball. He goes to gymnastics with John. John is kind to Kristi. He enjoys going places with his Mom or Dad for some one-on-one time. Kristi loves going places. She likes to color, and she talks well.
Melvin and Nicole’s family live in Bentonville, Arkansas. Melvin works in the office at Wal-Mart. He likes to tell & read his daughters stories. He likes to work in his yard. He is a good neighbor.
He is a CTR 5 teacher. Nicole enjoyed having her mother there for Christmas. They loved playing games & visiting... Good memories. Nicole is the ward chorister. She has done a lot of signing. She cooked up great dishes of food for Thanksgiving. Kendra enjoys going to the fitness center with her dad. She likes to sing. She is in the 5th grade choir and on the Student Council. She loves to play songs on the piano by memory. Kaelyn loves to walk up to the piano and play as many songs from her books as she can. ‘Play’ to Kaelyn is anything from being a school
teacher to doing 100 cartwheels in the living room. Sierra loves ballet, going to the library for story time, playing with Barbies and littlest pet shop, when she is not doing Webkins. Twirling
is her main activity.
Josh and Amy’s family live in West Jordan, UT. They bought a nice home that has fruit trees.
Josh keeps busy working at Datamark and he also had 2 part time jobs for 4 months. He has been developing real estate, putting up shelves, and doing yard repairs. At Datamark they have a ping pong table and he had fun winning most of the time. They bought a ping pong table, so Amy and Josh, Danielle and Tyler have had a lot of fun playing together. Amy had a bad kidney infection Jan 2007. She has never been so grateful to be alive as she was after that. She loves teaching the Beehives on Sunday and helping with their activities once a week. She accomplished a lot of scrap booking this year. Now, she loves doing blogging. It is a boost for her to be able to journal and to keep up with friends and family. Danielle started 2nd grade and she reads like a ‘pro!’ Her favorite subject is Math. She enjoys taking piano lessons. She has a good singing
voice. She likes to ride her bike and jump on the trampoline. She loves playing with cousins and friends. Tyler likes pre-school and he likes to draw pictures. He likes to play with his Dad’s old Star Wars action figures and his pirate ship. He learned to ride a bike with training wheels. His deep thought-out questions bring up many spiritual discussions in our home. Cassidy’s life is a musical. She will actually breakout in song and sing about what is happening, making up her own tune or putting new words to a familiar tune. She wants books read over and over to her.
Benjamin is walking —he is a cruising little boy! He is fascinated with their new kittens and he wants to be like them so much, he eats their food. His smile lights up our souls with love. All the children love playing with him--making him laugh and smile.
Jerry & Bea, Jennifer & Mark, and Amy & Josh’s families get together nearly every fast Sunday after their meetings to eat and to visit. Once in a while the Robertsons get to go.
Jessica & Sean’s family live in Pahrump, Nevada. He owns a concrete business, so he stays more than busy! Jessica worked in a beauty shop until she learned that she was expecting their 2nd child--Zoe will have a little sister about April 28. :) They have a Dachshund puppy.
